Charlie
Hawkins is the author of Make Meeting Matter,
a resource for planning and running high-impact meetings that achieve
results, and Turn
On the Idea Machine, an audio program for people and companies
who are looking to unleash and focus their creative potential.
Charlie has been associated with some of the most innovative and successful
products and concepts of our time. At Procter & Gamble, he helped create
and refine the marketing strategies for Bounty Towels when it was
successfully introduced nationally. At the Mennen Company, he led the
team that repositioned Skin Bracer ("Thanks, I Needed That!"), reviving
a 75-year-old brand; and as vice-president, marketing services at Dr Pepper,
he directed the efforts that led to the brand becoming accepted nationwide
via the well known "Be a Pepper" campaign.
Charlie
is the founder and president of Seahawk Associates, a resource for companies
and organizations that want to achieve better results in meetings and
presentations. Seahawk helps management "plan well, think big and talk
straight."
Charlie is a skilled facilitator, mentor and executive coach. He facilitates
monthly business round tables as a chair for Vistage International, the
world's leading membership organization for CEO's, business owners and
key executives. He conducts workshops in communications skills for Fortune
500 companies, small businesses, professional services firms and nonprofits.
For eleven years (1990-2001), he designed and facilitated communications
skills seminars for MBA students at the University of Chicago Graduate
School of Business.
Charlie holds an MBA in marketing from Columbia University (New York)
and a BA degree from Florida State University in communications.
